He came to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many people

[Jesus] refused to guided by anything other than his high call. His heart was purposeful. Most lives aim at nothing in particular and achieve it. Jesus aimed at one goal - to save humanity from its sin. He could summarize his life with one sentence: "The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost"(Luke 19:10). Jesus was so focused on his task that he knew when to say, "It is finished" (John 19:30). But he was not so focused on his goal that he was unpleasant.   Quite the contrary. How pleasant were his thoughts! Children couldn't resist Jesus. He could find beauty in lilies, joy in worship, and possibilities in problems. He would spend days with multitudes of sick people and still feel sorry for them. He spent over three decades wading through the muck and mire of our sin yet still saw enough beauty in us to die for our mistakes.   - Just like Jesus

Words aim - 겨누다. 겨냥하다. the purpose of doing sth risk-taking - 위험부담 multitudes - 다수, 군중 decades - 10년간 wading - 걸어서 건너다. 고생하며 나아가다. muck - 외양간거름 mire - 진창, 진흙, 오욕 전혀 다르다(quite the contrary

Kwangyoung Kim     예수님은 그의 높은 소명보다 다른 어떤 것에 의해 인도되는 것을 거절하셨다. 그의 심장은 목적 지향적이었다. 대부분의 삶들은 파편적이고 이것을 성취하는데 아무런 목적이 없다. 예수님은 한 목적을 겨냥하셨다 - 죄로부터 인류를 구원하기 위한 것이었다. 그는 한 문장으로 그의 삶을 요약하셨는데; "인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾고 구원하기 위함이라"(눅 19:10). 예수님은 그의 일에 그렇게 초점을 맞추셨고 그가 "다 이루었다(요19:30)"고 말한 때 그는 알고 계셨다. 그러나 그는 불쾌하게 그의 목적에 초점을 맞춘 것이 아니었다. 전혀 다르게, 즐거움이 그의 생각이었던가! 아이들은 예수님께 저항하지 않았다. 그는 백합 안에서 즐거움을 발견하셨고, 예배 속에서 기쁨을, 문제들 속에서 가능성을 발견하셨다. 그는 병든 사람들의 군중 속에서 시간을 보내셨고, 여전히 그들을 위해 미안한 감정을 느끼셨다. 그는 30년이 넘도록 외양간 거름을 통과해 걸어가셨고 우리의 죄의 오욕을 여전히 우리 안에 아름다움보다 충분히 보셔서 우리의 실수들을 위해 죽고자 하셨다. - 예수님처럼
