Standing erect   About the end-time Jesus says, "There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; on earth nations in agony, bewildered by the turmoil of the ocean and its waves; men fainting away with terror and fear at what menaces the world, for the power of heaven will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory"(Luke 21:25-28). All of this is already taking place. For anyone who has listened deeply to the heart of God, the despair of the world and the coming of the great liberation are both visible every day. What then should we do? Jesus says it clearly, "Stand erect, hold your heads high, because our liberation is near at hand"(Luke 21:28). There is so much hope here. We do not have to faint but can stand straight, welcoming our Lord with outstretched arms. 똑바로 서다.   마지막 때에 대하여 예수님께서 말씀하시기를, “해와 달과 별들이 징조가 있을 것이다: 심한 고통안에 이 땅의 나라들이 있을 것인데, 대양이 소란함으로 불안하고 이것이 물결친다; 사람들이 세상의 위협으로 두려워하고 소란함으로 기절하는데, 이는 하늘의 권능이 흔들리기 때문이다. 그리고 그들은 인자가 권능과 큰 영광가운데 구름타고 오시는 것을 볼 것이다.”(눅 21:25-28). 이 모든 것이 이미 시작되었다. 하나님의 마음을 깊게 들으려하는 누구나, 세상의 절망과 거대한 해방의 도래가 둘 다 매일 눈에 보일 것이다. 우리가 할 수 있는 것은 무엇인가? 예수님은 이것을 명확히 말씀하시길, “똑바로 서있으라, 너의 머리를 높이 들라, 왜냐하면 우리의 해방은 손 가까이 있다.”(눅 21:28). 많은 희망이 여기 있다. 우리는 졸도할 것이 아니라 바로 서야 하는데, 우리의 주님이 펴신 팔로 우리를 맞으실 것이기 때문이다.
