This last book of the Bible takes the entire biblical revelation and re-images it in a compelling, persuading, evangelistic vision which has brought perseverance, stamina, joy, and discipline to Christians for centuries, and continues to do so. Not everything about everything is in the scriptures, but all that God intends for us and his salvation for us and our responses to him is here. The law and the prophets and the writings are set under the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ and made to work for our salvation. The incarnation works retroactively on all other scripture and reshapes it in this final vision. The Revelation is not, as some have assumed, a change of strategy on God's part after the original plan of salvation turned out not to work; it is the original plan itself, working powerfully, gloriously, and triumphantly.     ... John told everything he saw: God's Word - the witness of Jesus Christ! How blessed the reader! How blessed the hears and keepers of these oracle words, all the words written in this book! Time is just about up.   REVELATION 1:2~3

 Words   compelling- 강제적인, 흥미를 돋우는/persuading - 설득하다, 확인하다. /stamina - 지구력/retroactively- 반동하는, 소급하는 /assumed - 가장하다, 꾸미다/strategy-전략/ triumphantly-승리를 얻은, 의기양양한

이 마지막 성경의 책은 성경적 계시와 이미지를 새롭게 하는 데로 들어가게 이끄는데, 흥미를 돋우고 설득하고 (인내, 지구력, 기쁨과 세대를 위한 그리스도인의 제자도를 가져오게 하는) 복음적 비젼으로 계속되게 한다. 모든 것에 대해 기록된 것에 대한 것이 아니지만, 우리를 향한 하나님의 모든 것과 우리를 위한 구원 그를 향한 반응이 여기에 있다. 그 법과 그 선지자들과 그 저자들은 예수 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 성육신 아래 놓여 졌고, 우리의 구원을 위해 일하셨다. 그 성육신의 일은 다른 성경을 소급해 오고, 이 마지막 비젼 안에서 새 국면을 맞이한다. 계시록은 어떤 꾸며진 것이 아니라, 구원의 원래 계획이 행해지지 않는 것이 아니라 하나님의 부분적 전략의 변화이다.; 원래의 계획은 그 자체인데, 힘있고, 영광스럽고, 승리를 얻는 것이다.     Interpreter.
